1. What “lace” actually means
The lace is the sheer base at the front (and sometimes top) of the wig where hair is knotted. It creates a natural-looking hairline when it matches your skin and is properly melted or blended.
2. HD lace vs transparent lace
- HD lace — thinner and more undetectable on many skin tones when installed well. Often preferred for glam, close-up photos and “scalp-looking” hairlines. Handle gently; it is more delicate.
- Transparent / regular lace — slightly more durable and forgiving for everyday wear. Still melts beautifully with the right tint, adhesive and finish.
Neither is “better” for everyone — choose based on how undetectable you want the hairline, how often you’ll wear it, and your comfort with delicate materials.
3. Cap sizes & fit
A wig that sits too tight leaves headaches; too loose shifts and lifts at the hairline. Measure your head circumference (around the hairline, above the ears, and to the nape) and compare with the size guide on the product page. When in doubt, message us your measurement and preferred style.
4. Colour & skin-tone melt
Lace can be tinted to better match your scalp. Many clients use a lace tint or foundation along the parting and hairline. Match undertone (warm, cool, neutral) rather than chasing an exact filter shade from a photo.
Product photos are studio-lit; natural hair also reflects light differently indoors vs outdoors. If you need a precise colour match, send a reference photo on WhatsApp before you order.
5. Density, length & lifestyle
- Lower–medium density — lighter, more natural for daily wear.
- Higher density — fuller glam looks; may feel warmer and need more styling care.
- Length — longer units need more maintenance and careful packing when travelling.
Think about how you’ll wear the unit: gym, work, events, or versatile everyday.
6. Ready-made vs custom

7. First-week care tips
- Detangle gently from ends upward with a wide-tooth comb or suitable brush.
- Use products made for human hair; avoid heavy greases on the lace.
- Store on a wig stand when not in use.
- Wash only when needed, with lukewarm water and mild shampoo; air-dry.
